Small Animals
Caring for small animals is our bread and butter here at Those Old Pets. With our own trio of house rabbits, we are used to different needs for different pets and really put the emphasis on enrichment.
The spare room of our house is the small animal haven and is entirely available for rabbits or guinea pigs with a floor space of approximately 3mx2m. This room comes with a large litter tray (the base of a ‘rabbit cage’) and plenty of space to binky or popcorn about.
A 2 level outdoor hutch is also available for guinea pigs only, with a floor space of 3.4m2. Boarding here will include the use of straw, snuggle safe heat pads and cool pads, and unlimited hay as standard. The hutch mesh has been reinforced with 15 gauge wire mesh and secondary hutch locks to prevent potential predators.
Alternatively, for your smaller caged pets, they can stay in their own cage in our living room. Smaller pets like hamsters and mice prefer to stay in places they are used to, so this is an ideal way to make sure they’re happy and safe while you’re away.
Our standard rates include unlimited hay, litter, feeding, cleaning, necessary exercise, and socialisation. We have personal experience with the following animals but if you don’t see your pet on there please do get in touch:

£10 per night
Caged animals (own cage):
£8 per night per cage
Please note:
With the exception of rabbits and guinea pigs who can have access to the floor space of the room, cages/pens may need to be provided.
Restrictions:
Rabbits must be vaccinated against myxomatosis and R(V)HD to be boarded.
We will not board animals different same species together.
